The appealing Botany department is a 3 year under graduate degree program which was established in the year 2020 with 22 students. The department strives effectively to bring laurels and progress to the student community. The Department of Botany offers high quality based UG programme with an intention to afford and to comprehend the authoritative scenery of life sciences to the student sector. The department aims to produce world class botanists who can address the challenges and needs of the world. It has brought a new hope for remediation and conservation of environment and also in the field of medicine and food etc. It has opened greater avenues for higher education and employability for the future generation. It provides subject based methodology and skill development to students at various inter disciplinary area of life sciences, which would directly contribute to the society.

To propose the best knowledge about Botany as conserving environment is the best way of comprehending nature.

Programme Objectives (PO)

The objectives of B.Sc Botany Programme are

  1. To graduate botanist are prepared for entrance into top-rated professional institution IIT, ICRISAT, BSI, plant quarantine department in India, other countries.
  2. The department attempts to produce nature awareness of creation, improve employability skills and inspire research interest among students.
  3. To stimulate awareness about the development of plants.
  4. The UG has opened a great avenue for higher education and employment for the future generation. Hence it has formulated an employment for the future generation too.
  5. To contribute to the preparation of students in other science disciplines for their careers.

Lab Facilities

More number of light and dissection microscopes has been kept available in the laboratory for students. In this laboratory 40 students can be accommodated at a time and each of them to do experiments. Lot of chemicals and other instruments are available for doing Physiology, Cytology, Phytochemistry, Microbiology and Horticultural experiments. High-capacity Power Bank (UPS) was also installed in the best interests of the students’ community.
