Silambam

Silambam is a good form of cardio workout that improves blood circulation and heart function. Burns calories, helps in weight reduction and shaping of body. Relieves mental stress, laziness and fatigue. Improves body flexibility and reflexive movement of joints and muscles

Not only does it build muscle, but it also improves flexibility and balance over time. Silambam also help you to build your mental strength as it requires focus and discipline. As much as strength comes into play, you will also be taught that strategy is equally important.

Originating in Tamil Nadu, silambam, is one of the oldest self-defence techniques out there. One can even find references of this ancient form of Silambam in the Sangam Literature. Silambam mainly involves stick fighting and was successfully used against the British army in the 18th century
