August 7, 2024 — Bon Secours Arts & Science College for Women made a significant impact on environmental sustainability with its “Green Environment” initiative today. The event, held on the college campus, was organized by the College NSS, LEO Club, and EXNORA Part V Committees, with a focus on enhancing the institution’s green footprint.
The initiative was led by NSS Coordinator Ms. S. Arthi, Assistant Professor of Tamil, and Ms. A. Sivagama Sundari, Assistant Professor of Mathematics. LEO Club Coordinators Ms. A. Lakshika and Ms. M. Roselin Arockia Mary, along with EXNORA Coordinators Dr. U. Sathya and Ms. D. Aishwarya, were instrumental in organizing and executing the event.
A highlight of the day was Principal Sister Dr. Victoria’s participation, she offered tree plants and seed balls to students. Her involvement underscored the importance of the initiative and inspired the college community to engage actively in environmental conservation.
Informative sessions were conducted to educate participants about the benefits of planting and maintaining green spaces. The enthusiasm and commitment of both students and staff were evident as they eagerly took part in the initiative, contributing to a more sustainable campus environment.
